A bug in Jade's ending ("Komabt", which was in the arcade version of UMK3) has been fixed. In addition, Shao Kahn was thrown and grabbed with a blow, and Motaro was thrown over the head. 
These special moves include spinning with Kano blades (MK1 version), Kung Lao air torpedo (MK2 version), Goro's spinning strike, Baraka's spinning blades.
Several characters have received techniques that were not used in previous games.
Many characters in Mortal Kombat Trilogy have received new special moves and finishing moves. To perform this finishing move, the player must collect a combo of eleven hits, which ends with a character uppercut and an opponent's explosion. This game introduced the finishing move known as Brutality, which originally appeared in the home versions of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 on Mega Drive / Genesis and the SNES. When this bar fills completely, the character becomes much faster and stronger for a short period of time. 
Mortal Kombat Trilogy introduces an "AGRESSOR" bar that fills up during a battle between two fighters.
